*Note: I’ve often thought of taking these poems down because they are so imperfect. They haven’t been reviewed by a critique group, and they wouldn’t pass muster with serious poets or publications. But then I thought I wouldn’t be honoring a courageous, creative life if I removed them. They are a first draft exploration of creativity, a step into courage, and an attempt at loosening the hold of perfectionism. And for those reasons they are worthy.
